Ever wonder what the inside of a crystal vug looks like. Here's you chance to see. This is one of many paintings Fred did for a book showcasing all the mineral specimens that have been found at the Palermo Mines in N. Groton, NH. The Palermo Mine is famous for its micro specimens, many of them found for the first time at this location. These micro's are so small that they are difficult to photograph. Robert Whitmore, the owner of the mine, commissioned Fred to paint all the minerals found at the mine. He then assembled a gorgeous book that includes the paintings and the mines history. This print is framed and matted and is 5/50.
